Ambassadors in Nepal

Satkar Thapa

Satkar Dhoj Thapa, 23 years, is a student of Bachelors’ in Business Administration of Kist College of Management, Tribhuvan University. I am currently working as a team leader with “The Pratimann Neema Memorial Foundation” for Youth Empowerment and Capacity building programs in rural parts of Nepal.

My education and work experience has helped me to better understand the reality of the community and its people to build awareness on education and empowerment. I have always dedicated my life to improve the lives of others by volunteering with Nepal Children Organization, a national NGO of Nepal. As a team leader, I had organized a program called “Putting smiles on the faces of children” made an effort to bring smiles back for underprivileged children. I got selected to represent Nepal at International Student Festival in Trondheim 2013, Norway to contribute to the Social Movement group. I was awarded as a young business idea champion in the event ‘Arthalaya’ organized by Samriddhi, The Prosperity Foundation. I am also associated with one of the biggest campaign called “Change for a Livable Nepal”. This campaign is to initiate a movement that carries forward the message of a livable Nepal. I am also a member of United Nations Youth and Student Association Nepal.

Niraj Koirala Prasad

I am a graduate agriculture student at Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS), Chitwan District, Nepal. My field of specialization include agricultural economics and rural development. Besides study, I have been working as assistant in different researches conducted in IAAS by different research institutes. I have been active in different social activities like TEDxIAAS. My core interest areas are social activism, travelling and blogging. When I was a bachelor student at IAAS, I was very motivated to work in the field of education in the area adjoining to the instute as struggle of poor guardians for sending their children to school, has always been source of my inspiration. Therefore I am working on my level to decrease drop out rate of poor children from school, in my community. Education is the foundation of all development and future of stable and prosperous Nepal lies there where every children in the nation has access to education. My dream is to establish a foundation in Nepal which could work in field of education and job creation in ground level.
