Eric Mbotiji

I am 23 years old  with over three years of working experience in adolescent and sexual reproductive health. I am a volunteer in the capacity of a community educator with an NGO Youth Outreach Programme Cameroon. I teach in three primary schools on adolescent and sexual reproductive health. I also produce and broadcast youth friendly educative radio programs “Youth Drive” on topical issues such as the UN MDG’s, Climate Change, Sustainable development, Themes on Rio+20 summit and  Other issues of prime concern to young people.  I am one of the UNICEF Youth Advocates for the “SHUGA” Radio program in Cameroon which strives to use the media to mitigate the spread of HIV among young people.

I am the coordinator of Global Zero clubs in Cameroon  www.globalzero.org which  has as main objective to respond to President Obama’s  call for a world free of nuclear weapons.

I am the Local representative of Challenge Future Cameroon www.challengefuture.org; which is an international organization which seeks to explore the talents of youths and nurture them to enable become nation builders.

I love platforms that motivate people to do something that can help others and The World Congress on Access to Post secondary Education as an amazing knowledge sharing forum that will give me the opportunity to motivate other young people to make good use of the skills which they have acquired.

Becoming a Student an Youth Ambassador (SAY) as an inspiration and motivation to work towards improving Education in my region, and reducing the rate of illiteracy among youths and make recommendations to the powers that be as concerns the old educational systems and propose those that are geared towards entrepreneurship and sustainable development.
