The European Access Network

Broadening successful participation in higher education

The World Congress Series on access to post-secondary education is an initiative of the European Access Network (EAN).

EAN is the only Europe-based, international, non-government organisation whose sole focus is broadening successful participation in higher education.

The four pillars that frame its activities are: Access, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

These activities target those groups who are currently under represented in higher education, for reasons including gender, ethnic origin, nationality, age, disability, family background, vocational training, geographic location, or earlier educational disadvantage.

Membership of the EAN is open to institutions, organisations and individuals who have an interest in its work. Current members come from regions including Europe, Africa, North America and Australia. They include government and institution-based policy-makers, equity and diversity practitioners and researchers and others with an interest in its mission.

The EAN Secretariat is based in London, U.K. and the network is governed by an Executive Committee representing member countries and organisations and the European Students Union (ESU).
