Jade Ward
My Name is Jade Isobel Ward I am 23 and I am studying children young people and families at York St John University. I am hoping to move into social policy and research in my future.
As a care leaver myself I have an understanding of the difficulties faced by young people today. Housing, Education, Training and employment are all still problems for young people leaving care. I am currently working for a charity named the Nation Care Advisory Service (NCAS) part of Catch 22. NCAS work to engage care leavers and to support those working with them, to improve services and outcomes. We work at local, regional, national and European levels to develop solutions based on good corporate parenting that include and empower young people and influence professionals and policy makers to continually improve quality and outcomes.
When I am not at work or at University I enjoy live music, video games and having fun.
