Ambassadors in Afghanistan

Noorulah Jan Ahmadzai

Noorulah is currently the Programme Officer (Capacity Development & Youth) with United Nation Development Programme, Country Office Afghanistan and Country Ambassador for Global Alliance for Progressive Development.

He's had several years of professional experience in the areas of capacity building, labour market, local governance, municipal governance, youth, reform and community development.

Previous experience includes: Technical advisory services on Capacity Building, public outreach and service deliverya USAID funded project (Kabul City Initiative) 

Institutions previously worked for: Independent Directorate of Local Governance Afghanistan, AusAID, the World Bank, Global Partnership for Afghanistan, Korean Development Institute, and International Rescue Committee.

Education: BA in business administration and an MA in Public Policy at the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management. He also holds a post graduate certificate in Leadership and Global Cooperation at the Hansen Institute, San Diego State University.

He participated and lectured in many international forums on issues related to Afghanistan, Regional security, youth, post-conflict development, and Peace, more specifically on national and regional issues. He is a member of International Young Professional Foundation (IYPF) which focus is on MDGs, World Students Community for Sustainable Development.

He has been awarded Global Ambassador Fellowship from the government of South Korea, Fred J. Hansen Fellowship from San Diego State University USA, and Asia Pacific Leadership Award from East-West Center Hawaii USA.
